Arbitrary Signals and Cognitive Complexity

چکیده
The arbitrariness of a signal has long been seen as theoretically important but difficult to pin down notion. In this article, we suggest there are at least two different notions play in philosophical and scientific debates concerning the use arbitrary signals, work towards improved analyses both. We then consider how these types can co-occur come apart. Finally, examine connections between cognitive complexity users with an eye better evaluating one possible form human-nonhuman communicative continuity. show that each type bears its own nuanced relationship complexity, demonstrating theoretical importance keeping separate.

This paper has as main goal to develop a hybrid expert system to minimize some of the complexity problems related to arti cial intelligence eld. For instance, we can mention: the so-called bottleneck of expert systems, e.g., the knowledge elicitation process; the choice of the model for the knowledge representation to code human reasoning; In relation to the connectionist approach, the number o...

We analyze complexity of sleep-EEG-signals using methods based on Higuchi’s fractal dimension and of the signal and a new symbolic method applied to signal’s derivative. We demonstrate that these methods may be helpful in diagnosis of sleep disorders the fractal dimension method differentiate between sleep stages while the symbolic method may differentiate between healthy subject and insomniacs...

When Alice in Wonderland fell down the rabbit hole, she entered a world that was completely new to her. She gradually explored that world by observing, learning, and reasoning. This paper presents a simple system ALICE IN WONDERLAND that operates analogously. We model Alice’s Wonderland via a general notion of domain and Alice herself with a computational model including an evolving belief set ...
